    I do not know about G6PD. Plaquenil should be prescribed on your weight. Unless you are over 150 pounds, you should not be taking 200 mil. I have Pllaquenil toxcity. The dosage was too much for my weight. G6PD deficiency is a hereditary abnormality and therefore cannot be 'cured.' This abnormality in the activity of an erythrocyte red blood cell enzyme, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase G6PD, has hundreds of genetic variants, and enzyme levels vary from person to person. Plaquenil should not be used in children over 6 years for long periods. Do not take Plaquenil after the expiry date printed on the bottle. It may have no effect at all, or worse, an entirely unexpected effect if you take it after the expiry date. Do not take Plaquenil if the bottle is damaged or shows signs of tampering.

    Ear pain - Sep 12, 2008 I too get ear pain with flares. I've come to believe that it is inflammation caused by sjogrens for me. Do you get dry eyes? dry mouth? swollen glands? Sjogren's can cause all of this. Hopefully some of the others will have more ideas for you too. Mine is a shooting pain and it will cause me to grab my ear in pain.
