    Alcohol & RA questions Arthritis Information One thing I have noticed is that my tolerance for alcohol is lower while taking plaquenil. I used to be able to handle 2 beers in a night; now I can only handle 1 beer without getting an upset stomach. Alcohol doesn't mix well with a lot of medicines--so minimizing your intake is not a bad idea in the long run.
