Best time of day to take plaquenil

Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. I have to take 2 pills a day, 5 days a week (400mg/day). I had tried breakfast and before bed but breakfast I didn't have enough in my stomach and dinner, I'd forget and take it right at bed when my stomach was a little too empty.

When does plaquenil start working How common is diarrhea with plaquenil

My question is for those that have taken Plaquenil/Hydroxychloroquine. How long did it take for it to remove symptoms in your personal experience? I know I've read it can take up to 6 months but what I'm wondering is, do you just wake up one day and find it's kicked in 6 months down the road or more likely, it starts to work slowly over 6 months? Children should not take hydroxychloroquine for long-term therapy. Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboratory. Your doctor may order certain lab tests to check your response to hydroxychloroquine. If you are taking hydroxychloroquine for a long period of time, your doctor will recommend frequent eye exams. Of all the drugs I've had to take for lupus, plaquenil is probably the most mellow. It is my understanding that if it affects your eyes, it's a slow onset type thing, so if you're having your eyes checked regularly every 6mos, you will be fine.

I’m thinking I’ll take them both together before bed. TIAI took them with breakfast but the first 6 weeks I suffered from extreme nausea as a side effect. I work overnights, so I take it before i go to work, then by the time I get home I am able to sleep ok. Rheumy says I can take them together or separately anytime I want. Hope that you won't suffer from the side effects. I have found that for me i can't take my Plaquenil before bed as it makes me anxious and makes it difficult to sleep.
